Position : Assembler Programmer
Reports To: Team Leader Software Development
Job Summary/Overall Purpose:
- Design and develop Embedded Software in Aviation Industry
Essential Responsibilities:
- To develop state of art software application which align with the customer requirement and to ensure that the deliveries are in high quality level according to the industry standard
- Working in a small team on device drivers and low level software
Main Duties:
- Development, debugging and testing Embedded Software
- Exposure to test driven development
- Conduct code reviews
Education:
- University Degree
Qualification:
- Degree in Computer Science
Experience:
- At least 3 years experience developing Embedded Systems or Device Drivers, preferably develop Device Drivers on Embedded Platforms
- Linux Kernel, driver and application programming skills
- Have developed device drivers on embedded platforms and have a good understanding of writing low level software which interacts with the hardware directly
- Experience using the latest software technologies and tools in Embedded System development, preferably Embedded Linux Kernel, VxWorks, Integrity, Cross Tool Chain, Emulators, and RTOS
- Experience in Graphics Driver, PCI, USB, Bluetooth, Touch Screen, and Encryption are advantageous
- Proven skills in Firmware, Databases, GUI, Networking, and Application Debugging
- Have knowledge and experience in UML
- Experience in source code versioning and documentation are added bonus
Personal Skills:
- Able to follow the guidelines for standard software development procedures, and involvement in the implementation and maintenance of the quality system
- Well organised and able to use a high degree of initiative while working without direct supervision
- Ability to deliver permanent high quality work under time pressure
- Reliable
- Flexible
- Ability to work in teams
Computer Skills:
- Very familiar with Assembler and C/C++ programming language
- Able to program and debug Kernel Device Drivers
- Knowledge of some hardware basic
Language Skills:
- Good written and verbal knowledge of the English language
